<del>mockingjay</del>bird. That’s how I feel. Because I finally finished The Hunger Games series. The way I say finally sounds as if it took me a year to read it when really it took about a week. But, the way it consumed me makes me feel as if I’ve broken free from a emotional prison. And that’s not even dramatic enough to describe it.

Good story, great in parts…many parts, and emotional. All-consuming, fast-paced and over-the-top. Then there’s that little thing called the ending. W.T.F.? I found myself going oh well okay then. It’s over.

Wow. It would be hard to end it in any other way probably. But, wow. What a journey. And still one I recommend.

You know what I love? Ace and TJ’s Friday morning weekend blast off. For those of you that don’t live in the Charlotte area, Ace and TJ are these two dudes who do a radio morning show. They left one radio station before the holidays and were replaced by some other dude (meh) and a <del>stupid</del> judgey, annoying girl. Dumb move 95.1.

Anyway, they’re back now and the weekend blast off is better than ever. Today, they played this song, and I couldn’t resist sharing it. What better way to celebrate Friday after all than shaking one’s tailfeather!

Dear Humans of Earth:

It is perfectly acceptable to drive through a yellow light. Yellow does not mean stop. It means assess the situation and proceed with caution. Sometimes your assessment might lead you to stop, but other times, LIKE WHEN THE ALTERNATIVE IS SLAMMING ON YOUR BREAKS WHEN YOU ARE ALREADY AT THE LIGHT AND ALMOST CAUSING A 50 CAR PILE UP BEHIND YOU, it might lead you to realize it’s safer to keep on going. Please keep this in mind for future driving experiences.

Love,

Poppy
