Hello 2012

Over the weekend, Husband, BG and I played outside and enjoyed the crisp, cool air.  By play, I mean we threw approximately 3.7 million acorns off of the steps beside our house into the driveway of course.  Of course.

We also found time to dig dirt up with our hands and try to put it in our mouths.  One would think that Husband and I would know better being the adults we are, but we don’t.

Sidebar: It gets on my nerves when people talk about their kids and say we, as in we are doing this now.  I think it’s actually pretty natural to fall into that speech pattern, but um, no, your kid is doing that.  Not you.  And if you are, then you need help.  You should have learned how to hold your sippy cup way before now.  Same goes for eating dirt.

After the dirt eating and throwing of things, I took time to rake some leftover leaves and do some general cleaning up of the yard.  It was then that I spotted this beaut.  A lone bloom standing out on a cloudy, cold day.  Nice job Mother Nature.
